Baptism is the sacrament that welcomes your child to the life of God and the church. In order for your child to receive the sacrament of baptism, we require both parents and Godparents attend preparation session. The purpose of the session is to take time from our busy schedule to spiritually prepare for baptism our baby. This involves praying, reviewing what this sacrament is and reviewing our roles as parents and god parents. Each child is special and we must prepare for each of them.
The preparation sessions are held once a month in Schwinn Hall of St. Sylvester School, 3027 W. Palmer Square. The child must be an infant or up to 6 years old. At the age of 7, the child must attend Religious Education Classes.
Registration for preparation session must be made at least two weeks in advance.
YOU CANNOT ATTEND SESSION WITHOUT REGISTRATION.
